Microsoft vs. App Store

A dispute in the field of intellectual property aroused between the two major rival companies Microsoft and Apple. The dispute over the name of the App Store gave a lot of linguists and lawyers a good run for his money.

Opening a store called App Store has caused a large amount of resentment on the part of Microsoft, which protested against the application for the trademark. According to the company Microsoft, app store is a concept with its independent meaning, namely, the "app store" and it is indecent to qualify for the assignment of the name.

The company Apple, in turn, noted that the app store is the same universal concept, as well as windows, that Microsoft has as a brand. The conflicting parties have reached a high degree of absurdity in their submissions, so the conflict quickly faded.  However, Apple has filed a lawsuit on Amazon in 2014, which opened its Appstore.
